Trish and her husband Ken, both grew up in rural Southern Alberta on mixed farms but always their love of horses and cattle have been prevalent. They are high school sweethearts and they have been ranching for 32 years, in Southern Alberta’s prime prairie grasslands. While Ken was always busy working with his father farming and ranching during the early years, Trish, although busy raising three children, began a home based business in 1981 which moved into a store location in 1995 in Foremost, Alberta. After closing the store in 2007, Trish has pursued various job interests but has been most interested in moving into the direction of ranch retreats and a B & B. Trish has 25 years experience coordinating, instructing, and providing classes and workshops for all age groups. Trish’s love of quilting, oil painting, Tai Chi, Stained Glass, and Scrap-booking have prompted her to pursue this love from her home.
“Bringing in top notch instructors where required and providing a great crafting & Learning environment for individuals to create their unique projects are the main goals of Trish’s ranch retreats. Quality Service and Friendly Hospitality combined with Excellent Food make this Alberta Ranch Retreat an excellent environment for individuals to step back, slow down, and breathe in the stress free lifestyle.”
Trish & Ken’s love of the cowboy way and the ranching lifestyle leads her to open up her home to other’s interested in experiencing this lifestyle. Trish also has operated her own catering services for 10 years and worked in restaurants cooking. Trish has experience providing meals for workshops, meetings, weddings, and ranching events which provides the confidence to combine food excellence with the retreat experience. Ken & Trish are experienced cowhands and maintain their ranch the old fashioned way: on horseback! Ken and Trish have three children, now all married, and are excited to be grandparents x 2 now.
“I love meeting new people, teaching and helping other’s achieve their goals, and relaxing with great conversation around the camp fire. I, along with my family, look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family or friends soon.”

Ken and Trish love good times, good company, and good laughs! We all need to slow down and enjoy life more, sometimes it’s just a weekend here and there which is why we encourage friends and visitors to drop by anytime for a coffee and a visit!
